Today I am sharing the recipe of creamy garlic chicken.

Ingredients:

2 large chicken breasts

5-6 cloves garlic (minced) 2 cloves garlic (crushed)

1 medium onion

1/2 cup chicken stock or water

1 tsp lime juice

1/2 cup heavy cream (sub fresh cream)

Olive oil

Butter

1 tsp dried oregano

 1 tsp dried parsley

Salt and pepper (as needed)

*1 chicken stock cube (if using water)

Preparation:

Let's start by pounding 2 chicken breasts to flatten the thicker side.

Dry brine with salt and pepper on both sides.

Set aside atleast for 30 minutes.

Mince 5 to 6 cloves of garlic (add more or less based on preference).

Finely chop one medium onion.

Crush 2 cloves of garlic.

Tip: If using stainless steel pan, heat up the pan and splash water over it. When water droplets form, the pan is ready and the chicken won't stick.

Add 1 tbsp of olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter to the pan.

Add crushed garlic cloves and let it infuse into the oil.

Sear chicken on both sides until cooked through.

Add more olives if the pan gets too dry.

Set aside for later.

Remove the garlic cloves and add 1 tbsp butter to the pan. Add onions and saute until it turns translucent. Add chopped garlic and saute it for 10 to 15 seconds.

Add 1/2 cup of water or chicken stock.

Add 1 chicken stock cube if using water.

Squeeze half of the lime and mix.

Add 1 tsp of dried parsley and oregano (sub with other dried herbs of choice.

Simmer until onions are soft and liquid has reduced.

Pour 1/2 cup of heavy cream (sub with fresh cream).

Mix until well combined.

Add a pinch of freshy grated nutmeg (skip if not available).

Simmer until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.

Salt for taste, and add more if needed.

When the sauce is ready, add the chicken and simmer for 1 minute.

Delicious creamy chicken garlic is ready to serve and eat!!!

This recipe pairs well with pasta, steamed veggies, mashed potatoes or rice.

Make sure to shred the chicken if pairing it with pasta.
